Irene Elrod Standridge, 83

Irene Elrod Standridge, 83, of Cleveland died Sunday at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Alice McIntyre Elrod. She was retired from Habersham Mills with 30 years of service. She was a member of Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church.

Survivors include her husband, Talmon L. Standridge, Cleveland; daughter, Rutheleen Hooper, Demorest; son, Charles Standridge, Cleveland; brother, Robert Lee Elrod, Cornelia; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church. The Rev. Wayne Hicks and the Rev. Ronald Mote will officiate. Burial will be in Macedonia Methodist Church Cemetery, White County.
