Mr. George Vernon Russell, 81

Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. George Vernon Russell 81 of Cleveland. Mr.Russell died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Russell was the son of the late Joseph Pryor and Marion Russell. He served in the U.S. Navy and delivered meals on wheels for a number of years. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife Geneva "Genny" Russell, Cleveland; sons, Wayne Russell, Duluth, Joseph Russell, Bristol, TN; steopdaughters, Jackie Andersen, Taylor, S.C., Kim Campbell, Los Angeles, CA; brother, Frank Lester Russell, Sebring, FL,; and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2004 from the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 P.M. Friday. In lieu of flowers the family requests that all donations be made to: Meals on Wheels, 1239 Helen Hwy., Cleveland, GA 30528.
