Dennis Nelson Ladd, 81

Memorial Park Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Dennis Nelson Ladd, 81, of Hall Street, Gainesville. He passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center's Lanier Park Campus following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8 at Westside Baptist Church. Dr. Jerry Scott and Rev. Avery Brownlow will officiate. Interment will follow in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Ladd was born in Hall County to the late John G. Ladd and Carrie O'Kelly Ladd. He was retired from Harrison Oil Company and was a charter member, deacon and treasurer of Westside Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors include brother and sister-in-law Dumas & Tommie Ladd, Gainesville, nieces Rita Ladd Holmes, Clermont, Janet Woodruff, Gainesville, nephews Melvin Woodruff, Gainesville, Donnie Woodruff, Cumming and Douglas Woodruff, Gainesville.
