Mr. Barnell P. Adams, age 69, of 1289 Jess Grizzle Road, Dahlonega, GA., died Friday, January 02, 2004, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following a brief illness.

Mr. Adams was a native of Union County, GA. who had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 30 years. He was a former resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a certified welder and was a former employee of the Lumpkin County Road Department.

He was preceded in death by his Wife: Barbara Crain Adams, his Mother: Fannie Odell Self Adams, Sister: Martha Tridico, Brothers: Earl Adams and Jimmy Adams.

He is survived by: his Father: Homer Adams, Dahlonega, Ga., Daughter and son in law: Kayetta and Billy Fricks, Dahlonega, Ga., Sons and daughters in law: Victor and Ann Adams, Oakwood, Ga., Ronald and Deborah Adams, Gainesville, Ga., Richard "Jabo" and Joanne Adams, Dahlonega, Ga., Brothers: Johnny Adams, Cartersville, Ga., Eugene Adams, Dahlonega, Ga., Sisters: Rose Morelli, Oregon, Lee Bowsher, Urbana, Ohio, Linda Roden, Texas, Freddy Kahler, Box Springs, Ga., Grandchildren: RaeLynda Adams, Billy Fricks Jr., Tabitha Adams, Heather Adams, Justin Adams, Daniel Milum, and Hayley Milum. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Adams are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, January 04, 2004, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with Rev. Hubert Watkins and Rev. Sandy Reece officiating. Interment will follow in the Nimblewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friend at the funeral home all day Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM.
