John Stephen “Steve” Kemp, age 64 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.


Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.


Mr. Kemp was born January 14, 1948 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late John Homer Kemp and Abbie Ree Tomlin Kemp. He was a disabled veteran and of the Methodist Faith.


Mr. Kemp is survived by his brothers & sisters-in-law, Jimmy & Judy Kemp of Gainesville and Tim & Joy Kemp of Gainesville and sisters, Patty Ogletree of Gainesville and Becky Mumpower of Gainesville.
