Movie being filmed in Griffin
GRIFFIN - Filming has started in Griffin on a movie starring Mary Tyler Moore, Burt Reynolds and Charles Robinson.
Producer Beth Polson is in the city south of Atlanta to film the movie -- tentatively called ``Miss Lettie and Me'' -- along with Viacom Productions.
TNT now plans to air the movie December 8.
Most of the movie will be filmed at Brookfield Plantation, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and dates back to 1875.
Polson says the movie is about a woman who becomes reclusive because of family tragedies and losses in her own life. Her life is upset when a nine-year-old niece comes to visit and ends up staying.
It takes place in 2002 in the fictional town of Sawyer, Georgia.
Polson's movie credits include, ``The Christmas Box,'' ``The Last Dance,'' ``The Christmas Wish,'' and a film based on her first book, ``Not My Kid,'' a story about a family's battle against drugs.
