Lula student wins first place in state essay contest

Winners of the Agricultural Day contests
ATLANTA - A student at Lula Elementary School received first place in this year's Agriculture Day essay contest.

Madison Saxon was one of two students who were awarded first place in the contest sponsored by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and the Georgia Agriculture in the Classroom Council.

As a top award winner, Madison received a "Georgia Grown" medal and a $200 cash prize.
