Girls basketball: No. 3 Buford stumbles at No. 8 GAC

NORCROSS -- The third-ranked Buford girls basketball team fell 52-43 at No. 8 Greater Atlanta Christian on Tuesday night in Norcross.

The Lady Wolves (19-3) suffered their first region loss of the season and fell into a tie in 6A-AA with the Lady Spartans -- should the two teams finish tied, they would be separated by a coin-flip.

Andraya Carter paced Buford with 15 points, while Kaela Davis scored 13.

Christina Nelson put up a game-high 17 for GAC.

The Lady Wolves travel to take on Avondale at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
