Jacobs Media set for busy 2012 football season on air

The high school sports calendar will be relatively quiet for the few weeks, but we at Jacobs Media already have your fall Friday nights planned.

The three radio stations in the Jacobs Media family -- WDUN 550 AM and 102.9 FM and 1240 AM ESPN Radio -- have tentatively set their regular season high school football broadcast schedule.

The season ahead promises plenty of excitement and more than its share of intrigue as area programs embark on the new layout of the Georgia High School Association that is six classifications -- up from five classes of a year ago.

The new set-up has shattered and reshaped a number of area regions and ended some fierce rivalries in the process. Don't worry, however, new ones will take shape quickly -- and we here at Jacobs Media will have all the angles covered, beginning with our season preview coming in August.
