Gainesville man named president of Appalachia organizationBy Katie Crumley Access Insider UNDATED - For the first time in its history, a Georgia man has been named president of the Development District Association of Appalachia.
Danny Lewis of Gainesville,executive director of the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission, assumed the position on July 1. As DDAA president, Lewis will represent the organization at Appalachia Regional Commission functions as well as National Association of Development Organizations for the next year.
