Downed power lines force closure of Clarks Bridge Rd.

GAINESVILLE - Authorities closed Clarks Bridge Road near Venue Drive for a time Thursday morning after a large pine tree fell, taking out power lines in the area.

Hall County and Gainesville authorities remained on the scene along with crews from the Georgia Department of Transportation. Georgia Power crews were called in to repair the downed lines.

Clarks Bridge Road was re-opened around 6:30 Thursday morning.
