WATKINSVILLE - The child's prosthetic leg found by a jogger in Watkinsville July 23 is back in the hands of its owner.

According to the Athens Banner Herald, the little leg belongs to Blu Riggs, a six year old boy who lost part of his lower leg to amputation at age two.

The paper reports the family had just moved from Oregon and a family friend accidentally left it on the roof of his car. It fell off on Barnett Shoals Road.

The bad news is that Blu can't use the leg because of damage to it, keeping him in his wheelchair until the family can get a replacement.

The published report said Blu also suffers from Moebius Syndrome, a rare congenital neurological disorder.
