ATLANTA - People in Athens, Canton, Dalton, Dawsonville and Milledgeville now have the choice, through AT&T, of what the company says is "a new low-cost alternative to traditional home phone service."

Catherine Stengel, Senior Public Relations Consultant, AT&T Corporate Communications, says this can result in fewer bills and contracts and there is also the potential of saving on the cost of phone service.

AT&T Wireless Home Phone allows customers to use their home phone to complete calls using the AT&T wireless network instead of a landline connection.

According to Stengel, benefits include:

· Convenience. Customers can share their wireless minutes from their existing FamilyTalk plan to make and receive calls at home or while on the go.

· Flexibility. Customers have the option of keeping their existing home phone number and handsets.

· Significant Savings. With some customers spending $50 or more per month for local and long distance service, Wireless Home Phone is available for as little as $9.99 a month.

Complete pricing and product information are available at participating AT&T stores or at att.com/whp.
