Advance voting begins Wed.By Ken Stanford Staff GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Elections Office has issued a reminder that advance voting begins Wednesday for the Aug. 21 primary runoffs.
Chief Registrar and Director of Elections Charlotte Sosebee said in addition, absentee ballots will be available beginning Friday. A written request is required for absentee ballots and applications are available at the elections office on Browns Bridge Road at McEver Road in the new county government building (where advance voting will take place) or on the county's website, www.hallcounty.org. The start of advance voting may vary by county so check with your local elections/voter registration office in your county to determine when it begins where you are registered. Sosebee says any voter who was registered to voted by July 2 but did not vote in the July 31 primaries is eligible to vote in the runoffs but only those voters who cast a non-partisan or Republican ballot in the primaries are eligible to vote in the runoffs since there are no Democratic Party runoffs.
