ATLANTA - Dr. Linda Barrow, Vice President for Instruction at Lanier Technical College, recently completed the state Department of Technical and Adult Education's Executive Leadership Academy.
The Executive Leadership Academy is designed to provide participants with the "knowledge, skills, and abilities" to prepare them for Executive positions within the Georgia Technical College System.
Dr. Barrow's class was the inaugural class and consisted of 34 representatives from across the state.
During the year long program, participants attended presentations by elected officials, national leaders, Technical College presidents and learned the intricacies and politics involved serving diverse populations.
Dr. Barrow's senior leadership background includes Vice President for Student Services at Lanier Technical College and leadership positions at the Florida Institute of Technology, the University of Southern California, Bellevue College, and Golden Gate University, as well as, instruction at East Carolina University.
She received her Doctorate from the University of Central Florida in 1995.
